Nine arrested in drug sweep on O'ahu streets

Nine people have been arrested as part of a three-month operation to target street drug dealers.

The arrests were made Thursday at various locations. The people were arrested on a total of 30 drug-related offenses, including drug promotion, trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Not all of the suspects have been charged.

The suspects who were arrested are:

  • Jon Corso, 36, was arrested at 444 Niu St. on two counts of methamphetamine trafficking. His bail was set at $30,000.

  • Francisco Abucay, 37, was arrested at 2199 Kamehameha Highway for meth trafficking and five outstanding warrants. His bail totaled $22,200.

  • A 25-year-old man, arrested at 100 N. Beretania St., for promotion and paraphernalia.

  • Three others were also arrested at 100 N. Beretania St. on drug promotion charges.

  • A 49-year man who was arrested at 430 Sumner St. on trafficking and promotion counts.

  • Kaleolani Hernandez, 27, who was arrested at the corner of Kapi'olani Boulevard and McCully Street and charged for third-degree promotion.

  • A 33-year-old man, arrested at the same corner, who was wanted on a warrant.
