HPU sweeps Chaminade in softball doubleheader

Advertiser Staff

Ciera Senas, Nicole Kalakau, and Danielle Young each drove in two runs as Hawai'i Pacific defeated Chaminade, 11-2, today to sweep a women's softball doubleheader at HPU Windward Field.

HPU's Sherise Musquiz and Courtney Kessell combined on a four-hitter in a game that was shortened to five innings because of the 10-run differential rule.

Nicole Riviera and Young had two RBIs to lead HPU over Chaminade, 18-0, in the first game that was cut to five innings. Musquiz and Clerisse Lemke teamed on a two-hit shutout. HPU improved to 34-14; Chaminade dropped to 8-41.
