Sunny weather expected to last through the weekend

Look for a mostly sunny day today with light east to southeast winds and limited shower activity, according to the National Weather Service.

Trade winds are expected to return with the start of the new work week. As the week rolls on, the clouds will begin to pile up mainly over windward and mauka areas resulting in a few more showers, forecasters said.

Here's a closer look at the next several days:

Today, mostly sunny. Highs 79 to 87. Light winds.

Tonight, mostly cloudy with isolated showers early in the evening...Then partly cloudy in the late evening and overnight. Lows 63 to 73. North winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday, mostly sunny. Isolated showers in the late morning and afternoon. Highs 78 to 86. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 74. East winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 78 to 86. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 65 to 73. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
