Anthony Stultz will discuss "Free Your Mind: The Four Directions of an Awakened Life" at 7 p.m. May 24 at the Buddhist Study Center, 1436 University Ave.

The free lecture focuses on Shin Buddhism and Naikan teachings.

Stultz will explain the goals, details and applications of the Four Directions and provide exercises.

REV. CHING TO LEAD SATURDAY COURSE

"Boundaries," a video and discussion course, will be led by the Rev. Ron Ching beginning June 2 at Central Union Church.

The five-Saturday course meets at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall and includes a video lesson followed by a discussion.

The course is free except for cost of a textbook and a participant's guide.

'TAMING THE WILD HORSE OF MIND'

Khentrul Lodro Thaye Rinpoche teaches about the seven key points of training the mind in his lecture "Taming the Wild Horse of Mind."

The two daylong seminars will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 19-20 at 63 N. Beretania St.

Khentrul was trained in Tibet and in the West.

Cost is $90 ($50 for a single day, discounts available).

NEW HOPE OFFERS LEADERSHIP FORUM

Maximum Impact: The Influence Index forum will be presented by the marketplace ministry of New Hope Christian Fellowship.

The UH Cinema Series is reprising the screening of "10 Questions For the Dalai Lama" at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa's Spalding Auditorium.

The Rick Ray-directed documentary is being repeated after the Maui visit of the Dalai Lama, Tibetan Buddhism's spiritual leader.
