Mostly pleasant weather in sight for next few days

The trade winds have returned, a little bit ahead of schedule, and have brought a little moisture with them, according to the National Weather Service.

The trades were expected to reach the moderate or even strong level over night and persist throughout the weekend, forecasters said.

Trade wind showers are likely to pick up a bit over the windward and mountain areas of all islands.

Here's a more detailed look at what to expect over the next few days:

Rest of today, clear. Highs 78 to 86. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 74. East winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, sunny with isolated showers. Highs 78 to 86. East winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 65 to 73. East winds 10 to 15 mph and gusty. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 78 to 86. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 64 to 73. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
