Pedestrian killed on Maui's Hana Highway

A 33-year-old Haiku man died last night at Maui Medical Center after being hit by a car while crossing Hana Highway.

Maui police identified the man as Keolanalani Fonseca. The accident was reported at 10:45 p.m.

Pedestrians have accounted for two of Maui's four traffic fatalities in 2007.
