Prosecutors charged a 20-year-old man for allegedly robbing a woman Friday at knifepoint while she was placing her infant child in the backseat of a vehicle.

James Manico Allen, a resident of Little Makalapa Naval Housing, was charged Saturday with first-degree robbery. His bail is $100,000.

Allen has an initial appearance today at District Court.

Allen was arrested Friday at 9:50 a.m. on the 300 block of Christopher Court.

The robbery was reported to police at 5:20 a.m.

A woman, 38, told police she was placing her infant child in the backseat of her vehicle when she was approached by the suspect who had a knife. The man threatened to stab her and the child if his demand for her personal property was not met.
