Kapolei, Radford in box car challenge

Teams from Kapolei and Radford high schools will be racing in box cars they built at the first ABCRI Box Car School Challenge on May 18 at the ABCRI Box Car Track in Kunia.

The students built the cars at their Industrial Technology Academies during the school year.

Practice is at 2 p.m., followed by races at 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend. The track is located next to the Royal Kunia Park & Ride.

BENCH PRESS, BODY BUILDING MEET MAY 19

High school students are invited to enter the Bench Press Your Bodyweight and Mr. and Mrs. High School Body Building and Physique Championships.

The event is free and scheduled for May 19 at 10 a.m. at Ward Warehouse.

Students must present a school ID and weigh in on May 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Ward Warehouse's stage area.
