Climate change, impact on Hawai'i will be topic

By Catherine E. Toth
Advertiser Urban Honolulu Writer

Jeff Mikulina, director of the Hawai'i chapter of the Sierra Club, will present information Thursday about how climate change will affect Hawai'i.

The event, which is hosted by Envision Hawai'i, will start at 5:30 p.m. at the Ong King Art Center.

Mikulina recently completed Al Gore's The Climate Project (www.climateproject.org) and will share what he's learning in a 40-minute multimedia presentation.

Just last week Hawai'i lawmakers passed legislation to cap and regulate greenhouse gas emissions.

The event is free and open to the public.
