Torex Retail's In Store Information Solution (ISIS) Selected by Foodland

CUMBERLAND, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Torex Retail Americas, a global retail solution provider, announced today that contracts have been signed with Foodland, a division of the Sullivan Family of Companies. Foodland will be installing Torex Retail's supermarket solution, ISIS™, - a Microsoft.net based point-of-sale, back office and multi-store management solution. The ISIS solution, along with IBM servers and IBM SurePOS terminals will be installed in their chain of 29 Foodland supermarkets and in 7 Food Pantry and Malama Market stores over the next year.

Foodland chose Torex Retail's ISIS solution to enhance customer service and improve front-end operations and overall efficiency at their Foodland stores. The Foodland Maika'i loyalty program needed to be enhanced from a daily batch process to better serve their customers. They also chose Torex Retail due to their complete turnkey capability. Torex Retail will provide the ISIS solution, application development services, hardware procurement, integration & installation services, project management and on-site solutions capability to aid in the rollout.

Robert Murphy, CIO for the chain, comments, "We are confident that the ISIS solution will help Foodland maintain its leadership position with respect to customer service." He added, "The ISIS Solution is clearly the most flexible solution available to meet our internal information objectives and enhance customer service. No other solution company demonstrated this ability to meet our operation requirements. The ISIS open architecture enables seamless integration with our other companywide software packages."

Mike Hess, Torex Retail Americas CEO, adds, "Installing Torex Retail solutions will enable Foodland to better manage their business and serve their consumers. Both Foodland and Torex Retail have a passion for customer service, as differentiators in the markets they serve. We are excited about this opportunity continuing to build our partnership with the Sullivan Companies."
