Small northwest swell raises surf

Surf along northern shores will be 6 to 8 feet today, compliments of a small northwest swell that will diminish later tonght.The rest of the National Weather Service forecast calls for surf to be 3 to 5 feet along west shores and 2 to 4 feet along east and south shores.
No significant swells are expected this week.
