City celebrating EMS week May 20-26

Mayor Mufi Hannemann will honor the city's Emergency Medical Services personnel by proclaiming May 20-26 "EMS Week" in Honolulu.The theme for 2007 is "EMS: extraordinary people, extraordinary service."
"As this year's theme emphasizes," EMS Chief Patricia Dukes said, "the courageous men and women who serve as EMS providers are always answering the public's calls for help all day, every day, throughout the entire year.
"It's important that we take the time to honor these front-line medical responders who have dedicated their lives to ensure the safety of everyone around them."
The city will also be celebrating "National Beach Safety Week" from May 21-28.
