'Top Chef' finalists return to Big Island for Dolphin Days

Advertiser Staff

Two of Bravo's "Top Chef" finalists, who competed against each other on the Big Island, will return for the Hilton Waikoloa Village's annual Dolphin Days Festival, set for June 14-17 this year.

Elia Aboumrad, of The Hotel in Las Vegas, and Marcel Vigneron, of Joel Robuchon at the Mansion in Las Vegas, will return to the scene of the highly watched series' final two episodes of last season. Vigneron will be featured chef at the Chef & Winemaker Dinner June 15 at Donatoni's Restaurant at the Village.

More than 30 chefs are expected to participate in the festival's events, which benefit the Pacific Marine Life Foundation and the Hawaii Shriners Hospital for Children. Events include the Dolphin Days Mahalo Party June 14, the Great Waikoloa Food, Wine and Music Festival June 16, golf and tennis tournaments, a lu'au, silent auction and more.
