Bar fined for serving a minor

Advertiser Staff

The Honolulu Board of Liquor Commissioners has fined Kailua's Boardriders Bar and Grill $1,000 for selling liquor to a minor.

At the board's meeting in late April, the Kailua bar pled not guilty to the offense, but was found guilty and fined.

The board also voted for a similar fine for the Waikiki bar Zanzabar and took action against several other establishments for noise and management violations.

The Honolulu Liquor Commission says its goal is to effectively and fairly administer and enforce Hawai'i's liquor laws to promote the community's health, safety and welfare. For more information, see www.honolulu.gov/liq.
