Punahou, Kamehameha to meet for D-I state berth

KAIMUKI — Tressa Torres scored 10 points and the Punahou girls basketball team defeated Mid-Pacific 43-26 tonight at McCabe Gym in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I tournament for the league's second and final state berth.Johnnelle Kapua led Mid-Pacific (3-10) with nine points.
Punahou (8-5) will face Kamehameha (11-2) in Thursday's final at McCabe Gym.
Kamehameha defeated Maryknoll 63-53 at McCabe Gym behind Ana Viena-Lota's 18 points.
Nicole Fu scored 30 points for Maryknoll (0-13).
