Keone'ula Elementary dedication is today

The newest public school on O'ahu will be formally dedicated in a ceremony this morning in 'Ewa Beach.

Keone'ula Elementary School, located at 91-970 Kaileolea Drive, has an enrollment of 529 students kingergarten through the sixth grade. It's built on 12 acres of land and is completely air conditioned and houses some of the latest technology for students and teachers.

Principal Eileen Hirota and various dignitaries will lead the ceremony from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The Royal Hawaiian Band and Keone'ula Elementary's Fife, Drum, and Flag Corps (unique for an elementary school will perform, and there will be an official presentation of the school logo and the ribbon cutting conducted by Kahu Kauila Clark and his sons.
