Turtle Bay's Carll wins Hall of Fame golf

Turtle Bay's Kevin Carll won the Hawaiian Telcom Hall of Fame Championship on his 32nd birthday Monday.The Aloha Section PGA's second major of the year was held at Kapalua's Plantation Course.
Carll shot 1-over-par 74 in the final round. His 36-hole total of 148 was a shot better than Brendan Moynahan, of Hualalai Resort, who closed with a 73. Tied for third were first-round leaders Jerry King (78) and Matt Pakkala (78), at 150.
Hawai'i Golf Hall of Famer Larry Stubblefield won the Seniors at 72-150, with Makena's Dugal Milne second, two back. Ron Castillo (78-157), another Hall of Famer, successfully defended his Super Senior title, with Kerry Greenwood second.
The field of 54 played for a purse of $20,800. Carll won $2,500, a roundtrip ticket from Delta Air Lines and points towards Governor's Cup selection and Section Player of the Year.
