Charges pending in rape of child in Kalihi

The attack was reported to police Monday at 7 p.m. by sex-abuse treatment officials.
A police investigation led to a man being arrested for questioning later Monday night at Palama and North King streets. He was later identified by the victim, police said.
The man is not a registered sex offender and there was nothing to indicate he was involved in attacks on any other children, police said.
