Local filmmaker to help direct Hawai'i commercials

Gerard Elmore, an award-winning writer, director and producer, has joined Shooters Film Production as director for its Hawai'i commercials.
Elmore, a Campbell High School and University of Hawai'i graduate, is best known for his "Valtor the Great vs. the Universe," which was a best short film winner in the Hawaii International Film Festival, and "Amasian: The Amazing Asian," which earned a Cinema Paradise award.
He recently completed his first feature-length film, "All for Melissa."
