Advertiser Staff

Twelve Kalihi schools will collaborate to put on the first ever Farrington Complex Film and Arts Festival on Friday.

The event will feature band and choral performances, film screenings and a display of art by elementary, middle and high school students. The project was put on by the Farrington High School Web team, whose goal it is to highlight how arts help kids succeed.

The videos shown during the event were produced by Kalihi students, and will be judged by professionals. The creators of the top 10 videos will get $100. Door prizes will also be handed out.

The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Farrington High School auditorium. The awards ceremony starts at 8 p.m.
