Woman, 51, struck by vehicle on Kapahulu Avenue

A 51-year-old woman was reported to be in serious but stable condition upon arriving at The Queen's Medical Center this morning after being struck by a vehicle while walking across Kapahulu Avenue.

Police said the accident happened near Rainbow Drive-In about 7:50 a.m.

Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department, said the reports from the scene indicated the vehicle was traveling about 15 mph when it struck the woman.
