Studies sought on resort plans

Advertiser Staff

Lawmakers have asked for hearings and studies to evaluate the impact new development at Turtle Bay Resort will have on the community.

The request comes through resolutions that do not carry the weight of law but let people know that the issue is important to legislators.

HCR 194 asks for a hearing on the labor force required by the Turtle Bay Resort expansion and other possible impacts on the North Shore.

SR 107 establishes a North Shore Kamehameha Highway Traffic Congestion Task Force.

HR 153 calls for the state and city to consider likely traffic impacts of the expansion and mitigation measures required.
