Coaches clinic, camp coming

The Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance will hold its third annual Football Coaches Clinic May 18 at the Hawai'i Imin International Conference Center located at the University of Hawai'i.
The event is open to all football coaches and officials at the high school and youth levels.
Among the confirmed presenters are UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell, Ron Powlus of Notre Dame, UH's Wes Suan and Jeff Reinebold, Andy Buh of Stanford and Chris Tormey of Washington.
There will be five sessions running concurrently, including two defensive and two offensive sessions. The first sessions are scheduled to begin at 4:45 p.m.
Registration fee is $35 per coach by tomorrow, or $30 for members of the Athletic Directors and Coaches Association. Late registration is $45. Discounts are available for large groups.
On May 19, PIAA will host a football camp for high school players at Saint Louis. It will be broadcast on the Internet, and more than 30 college coaches, including some from UH, are expected to attend.
