BYUH women's tennis in semifinals, HPU men lose

The top-ranked Brigham Young-Hawai'i women's tennis advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division II National Championships by beating Florida Southern, 5-0, in the quarterfinals today at Altamonte Springs, Fla.

The Seasiders (31-0) will face the winner Armstrong Atlantc-Valdosta State match in the semifinals tomorrow.

The other three quarterfinal matches, including the Hawai'i Pacifc-Lynn match, were suspended because of rain and will be resumed tomorrow. HPU (17-4) currently leads 2-1 after winning two of three doubles matches.

On the men's side, HPU (13-5) was eliminated by Lynn in the quarterfinals, losing 5-2.
