Aloha Airlines lost $8.5 million during the fourth quarter of 2006 as high fuel prices and the interisland air fare war continued to take its toll on the state's No. 2 carrier.Financial results filed with the U.S. Department of Transportation show that Aloha narrowed its losses from third quarter 2006 when it lost $10 million.
"Results for the fourth quarter and full year reflect challenges posed by the continuing high cost of fuel and a decline in average interisland fares," said Aloha spokesman Stu Glauberman.
