Man charged with raping child in tool shed

Shane Ngirmidol, who has no permanent local address, was charged at about 3:15 p.m. with first-degree sexual assault. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
The alleged attack occurred in Kalihi and was reported to police Monday by sex-abuse treatment officials. Ngirmidol was arrested Monday night at Palama and North King streets at about 6 p.m.
Ngirmidol is also being held on an outstanding $500 warrant.
His initial appearance is tomorrow at District Court.
