Kamiloiki park to be spiffed up

Advertiser Staff

Kamiloiki Community Park will get some new basketball and volleyball courts after this summer, according to Eugene Lee, of the city Department of Design and Construction.

The city has hired Site Engineering to also replace basketball backboards, goals and nets, and volleyball posts and nets at the park, which is on the corner of Lunalilo Home Road and Hawai'i Kai Drive, Lee said.

Also included in the $238,900 contract are plans for new chainlink fence fabric, tree protection fencing and irrigation work.

No date has been set for the start of construction, Lee said, but the contract is for 120 days.
