Special Keiki Rodeo nears

Advertiser Staff

Therapeutic Horsemanship of Hawai'i, a group that specializes in riding instruction for the disabled, will hold its fourth annual Special Keiki Rodeo from 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow at the Waimanalo Polo Field.

The event will feature the group's riders performing on horseback and will also have free food, pony rides and face painting.

Shave ice, drinks, T-shirts and stick ponies also will be sold to support the program.

The group uses horsemanship skills such as grooming, saddling and riding to help its riders improve their minds and bodies.

The rodeo is open to the public.
