BYUH women win another NCAA tennis title

The top-ranked Brigham Young University-Hawai'i women's tennis team won its second straight NCAA Division II national championship by defeating fourth-ranked West Florida, 5-0, in the finals today at Altamonte Springs, Fla.The Seasiders (33-0) have won seven of the last nine NCAA II national titles and have won nine titles in the past 11 seasons, including two NAIA titles in their final two years of NAIA competition.
Against West Florida, BYU-Hawai'i took a 3-0 lead after winning the three doubles matches, then took the match with victories at No. 3 and No. 5 singles.
The Seasiders finish the season on a 60-match winning streak that includes wins over Division I opponents Gonzaga, Cleveland State and Hawai'i this year. BYU-Hawai'i is 293-2 since joining Division II in 1998.
