EPA to honor city for drinking water projects

HONOLULU – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Pacific Southwest Regional Administrator Wayne Nastri and the Hawai'i Department of Health will honor the City and County of Honolulu with the 2006 Hawai'i Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Project of the Year Award.

The Honolulu Board of Water Supply is being recognized for its work on five projects that will provide public health benefits by providing drinking water that meets all standards.

The award will presented at 3 p.m. Monday in the Mayor's Conference Room, Honolulu Hale, 530 South King St.
