Man, 46, critically injured in H-1 motorcycle crash

A 46-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured last night after hitting a van on the H-1 Freeway near Makakilo, police said.The crash happened about 11:55 p.m., when the man was traveling westbound on a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Police said the man changed lanes and hit a 2004 Toyota van that was also changing lanes.
Witnesses told police the motorcyclist was speeding.
Alcohol was also involved in the crash, police said.
The motorcyclist was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition. The 59-year-old driver of the van and his 79-year-old passenger were not injured.
