Police identify man killed in Big Island motorcycle crash

A 28-year-old Kailua, Kona man who died Thursday in a motorcycle crash has been identified as Kenneth A. Hayes.Big Island police say Hayes was operating a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and traveling north on Kapuna Street when he hit a curb and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Police believe that speed, alcohol and drugs were factors in the crash. Hayes was not wearing a helmet.
