Flags at half staff to honor law enforcement officers

Advertiser Staff

Tomorrow, flags will fly at half-staff on state and county government buildings statewide because Gov. Linda Lingle has proclaimed it as "Peace Officers Memorial Day" in Hawai'i.

Lingle's order is in conjunction with President Bush's order that all U.S. flags be flown at half-staff on May 15 to honor the nation's law enforcement officers. The governor also declared May 13-19 as "Police Week."
