Laumaka inmate declared escapee

A 30-year-old man serving time for third-degree promotion of dangerous drugs failed to return the Laumaka Work Furlough Center yesterday and was declared an escapee.

Cory Wong-Yuen had been granted a furlough from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. yesterday, according to state Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Louise Kim McCoy.
