Expect traffic to be delayed

Advertiser Staff

Add one more to your list of places to avoid driving in Windward O'ahu.

The Board of Water Supply plans to begin work today on a seven-month project to install a new 8-inch water main on Mokulua Drive in Lanikai.

The work will be done from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and may cause traffic delays on the narrow road. The construction project may also require the temporary shut-off of water to some homes, according to the board.

The repair work comes in addition to at least six other sewer and road-repair projects scheduled to begin in Kailua and Kane'ohe in the next two years.
