Honolulu police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man last night that led to a massive manhunt on the North Shore.

Police arrested Jerrico Dewon Lindsey, 26, of 'Ewa Beach, at about 8 a.m. near Laniakea Beach and had him in custody at the Wahiawa substation this morning.

Responding to a tip, police this morning spotted Lindsey hitchhiking in the beach area. As officers approached Lindsey, he reportedly jumped into a car. Police then stopped the vehicle and arrested Lindsey for suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with the shooting.

A manhunt in the Hale'iwa area began just before midnight after police tracked a car believed to have been used in the shooting of the 30-year-old man, who later died at Castle Medical Center.

The shooting was reported at 9:58 p.m. on Kane'ohe Bay Drive near Namoku Street in Kane'ohe. Police arrested another suspect, 35-year-old William Lee Freeman of Honolulu, at 11:17 p.m. in Hale'iwa, hiding near a Bishop Estates' residence behind Jameson's by the Sea restaurant.
