Flags at half-staff today to mark 'Peace Officers' day

Flags are flying at half-staff on state and county government buildings statewide because Gov. Linda Lingle has proclaimed today as "Peace Officers Memorial Day" in Hawai'i.Lingle's order is in conjunction with President Bush's order that all U.S. flags be flown at half-staff today to honor the nation's law enforcement officers. The governor also declared May 13-19 as "Police Week."
