HAWAI'I KAI
Streetlights will be replaced

Advertiser Staff

The city has hired Paul's Electric Inc. to replace 40-year-old streetlights along Lunalilo Home Road.

Many of the lights are deteriorated, said Eugene Lee, city Department of Design and Construction director.

The project will be done in two phases. The first phase is from Kalaniana'ole Highway to Koamano Street. The remaining area — from Ko'amano Street to Hawai'i Kai Drive — will be done next year, Lee said.

The project, which is to cost $1.9 million, is scheduled to begin in July, Lee said.

The project should take about five months to complete, Lee said.
