Advertiser Staff

Hawai'i Pacific University's 66th commencement ceremony takes place at 6:30 tonight at the Waikiki Shell. Nearly 700 students will be awarded degrees. Also, with more than 100 nurses graduating, it is the largest class for the HPU program.

Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann will deliver the commencement speech. He also will receive the Fellow of the Pacific Award, the university's highest accolade, in recognition of his contributions and service to the community and higher education.
