Motorcyclist critically injured in collision

Advertiser Staff

A 36-year-old 'Ewa Beach man was critically injured today when the motorcycle he was operating collided with a utility truck turning left into a private driveway at Campbell Industrial Parl.

The collision on Komohana Street, 600 feet west of Kalaeloa Boulevard, was reported to police at 7:58 a.m.

Traffic investigator Sgt. Alan Vegas said the man was thrown from his 2005 Harley-Davidson upon impact. He was not wearing a helmet. The injured man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition.

Speed appears to be a factor on the part of the motorcyclist.

A 59-year-old Mililani man, who was driving the 1999 Chevrolet utility truck, was not injured, said Vegas.
