Shooting suspect held on $3 million bail

Advertiser Staff Writer

Prosecutors tonight charged a 35-year-old man with kidnapping and hindering prosecution in connection with the shooting death Monday of a man in Kane'ohe.

William Lee Freeman Jr. is being held in lieu of $3 million bail. He has an initial appearance tomorrow morning at District Court with a preliminary hearing tentively scheduled for Monday afternoon.

Freeman was arrested Monday at 11:17 p.m. in the parking lot of Jameson's by the Sea restaurant in Hale'iwa.

Murder charges are pending against a second man, Jerrico Dewon Lindsey, 26, arrested Tuesday.

A third suspect who eluded police in Hale'iwa Monday is still at large.
