'EWA BEACH
Aircraft noise to be discussed

Advertiser Staff

Noise over residential sections of 'Ewa Beach from aircraft approaching Honolulu International Airport will be discussed at a community meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Iroquois Point Elementary School cafeteria on 5553 Cormorant Ave.

The meeting is being hosted by Rep. Kymberly Pine, R-43rd ('Ewa Beach, Iroquois Point, Pu'uloa), and also will be attended by officials from the Federal Aviation Administration and the state Department of Transportation.

Nighttime air traffic over 'Ewa Beach appears to be increasing despite a nonbinding agreement designed to minimize night overflights, Pine said.
