By Wayne Harada

Six groups, two dance floors, a lot of souful memories.

That's what's in store when the "2007 Soul Jam" unfolds from 7 p.m. July 22 at the Blaisdell Arena.

Jimmie Walker of TV's "Good Times" will host; the performing bands will stroll down memory lane with tunes from the past.

Among the acts to be featured: The Chi Lites, known for "Oh Girl," "Have You Seen Her" and "Stoned Out of My Mind"; the Main Ingredient, featuring Cuba Gooding Sr., known for such hits as "Everybody Plays the Fool" and "Just Don't Want to be Lonely;" The Three Degrees, the Philly girl group of "When Will I See You Again?," "Maybe" and "T.S.O.P. (The Sound of Philadelphia)" fame; Harold Melvin's Bluenotes, which popularized "If You Don't Know Me by Now," "The Love I Lost" and "Wake Up Everybody;" The Delphonics, whose signatures include "La-La Means I Love You" and "Ready or Not Here I Come;" and The Stylistics, whose streak of best-sellers included "You Make Me Feel Brand New," "Betcha by Golly Wow," "Break Up to Make Up," "I'm Stone in Love With You," "You Are Everything" and "Ebony Eyes."

Fans will be able to snuggle up cheek-to-cheek for slow-dancing on two dance floors.

Tickets: $49, on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Blaisdell box office and Ticketmaster locations, including Times Supermarket outlets. For phone reservations, call (877) 750-4400; for oneline sales, go to www.ticketmaster.com.
