Advertiser Staff

Kanisha Bello scored 24 points to lead three players in double figures as Kamehameha-Hawai'i routed second-seeded McKinley, 73-53, in the semifinals of the Hawaiian Airlines girls state basketball Division II championship tonight at Farrington.

The Warriors (14-3), last year's Division II runner-up, advance to tomorrow's final against top-seeded Sacred Hearts (15-0) at 6 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Sacred Hearts defeated Campbell, 53-37, in another semifinal match played at McKinley.

Sierra Gacayan scored 12 points and Tabitha Eseroma had 11 for Kamehameha-Hawai'i, which led 42-27 at halftime.

McKinley (15-2), led by Chelsie Sato's 17 points and 10 rebounds, will play Campbell (14-3) in the third-place game, a rematch of last Friday's O'ahu Interscholastic Association White Division title game won by McKinley.
