The condition of a motorcyclist critically injured late last night in a Chinatown collision improved today to serious, according to police traffic accident investigators.

The motorcyclist, 20, suffered a broken leg, broken arms and minor head injuries when the 1991 Yamaha he was operating slammed into a 2004 Mustang at South Beretania and 'A'ala streets at 10:10 p.m.

The injured man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center.

The 26-year-old woman driving the Mustang was not injured.
