$3M bail set for 2 suspects in Kane'ohe shooting death

Shortly after midnight, prosecutors charged Jerrico Dewon Lindsey, 26, of 'Ewa Beach, with one count of murder in the second degree, four firearms offenses, and one count terroristic threatening in the first degree.

Two men facing charges in connection with the Monday night shooting death of a Kane'ohe man had their bail confirmed this morning in District Court.

Jerrico Dewon Lindsey, 26, was charged this morning with one count of murder in the second degree, four firearms offenses and one count of first-degree terroristic threatening.

He's being held in lieu of $3 million bail and made his initial court appearance at 8:30 this morning in Honolulu District Court.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday at 1:30 p.m.

William Lee Freeman Jr., 35, the first suspect arrested in the shooting death of a 30-year-old man identified by police as Fernando Correa — also known as Fernando Correa-Lua — was charged last night with kidnapping and hindering prosecution.

Freeman is also being held in lieu of $3 million bail. His initial appearance is also scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Freeman was arrested Monday at 11:17 p.m. in the parking lot of Jameson's By the Sea restaurant in Hale'iwa.

Lindsey was arrested at about 8 a.m. Tuesday morning when police found him hitchhiking near Laniakea Beach.

Both men appeared in court this morning wearing white jump suits. They did not speak during the courtroom proceedings.

Police are still looking for a third suspect in the case.

Also, Police said yesterday they were still working through a list of at least a half-dozen aliases in an effort to confirm the dead man's identity.
