WAHIAWA
Rep. Oshiro to hear concerns

Advertiser Staff

State Rep. Marcus Oshiro, D-39th (Wahiawa), will hold a public forum to discuss the 2007 legislative session and hear constituent concerns today from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in Wahiawa District Park's Hale Koa Room.

The state Legislature wrapped up its 60-day session May 3.

Among the measures passed: a modest $50 million tax-relief package that gives a one-time rebate and a permanent food credit to lower- and middle-income residents, the revival of an 11-cent-per-gallon tax break on ethanol-blended gasoline, and a multimillion-dollar economic innovation package to stimulate job growth in science and technology.
