Ex-UH quarterback Rolovich leads AFL team to win

SALT LAKE CITY — Steve Azar made a 22-yard field goal as time expired to give the Las Vegas Gladiators a 54-53 victory over the Utah Blaze tonight in the Arena Football League.

Azar hit the winning field goal after Utah's Steve Videtich made a 17-yarder with 36 seconds left to give the Blaze a 53-51 lead.

Nick Rolovich, a former University of Hawaii quarterback, was 28 of 42 for 329 yards and seven touchdowns for the Gladiators (2-10). Travis LaTendresse had nine catches for 117 yards and four touchdowns, and Thabiti Davis added 12 receptions for 114 yards and two TDs.

Joe Germaine was 28-of-36 for 322 yards and six touchdowns for the Blaze (6-6). Tom Pace had 11 catches for 146 yards and three touchdowns, and Siaha Burley finished with 11 receptions for 137 yards and three TDs.
