Kane'ohe Bay flight training may increase noise levels

Advertiser Staff

Flight training set to begin tomorrow may result in increased noise levels at the Marine Corps Air Facility at Kane'ohe Bay and in surrounding areas.

Eight F/A-18 Hornets and one C-130 Hercules from Marine Fighter/Attack Squadron 134, a reserve F/A-18 Hornet squadron, will conduct annual training required by all Marine Corps Reserve units, according to a Marine Corps news release issued today.

VMFA-134, known as "Smoke," is based out of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and falls under Marine Aircraft Group 46 (MAG-46) and the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing (4th MAW).

The training is expected to be completed by June 4.
