Hawai'i April jobless rate edges lower to 2.4 percent

The statewide unemployment rate dropped slightly in April to 2.4 percent.Last month's jobless rate was down 0.1 percentage points from March's 2.5 percent rate.
Hawai's unemployment rate was the second lowest in the country behind Montana's 2.2 percent rate. The local unemployment rate compared to a national jobless rate of 4.5 percent.
